It's an attempt to develop a community of folks all trying to compose 50,000 words toward a novel during the month of November. That seems like a tall order, and if I'm gonna do it then 50,000 words will be banged out! Know what I'm sayin'? Plus, cranking out 50,000 words is not a social activity, it is very personal and isolated, otherwise you won't make it to 50,000.
